In the study, as many as 10,000 people were examined and 13 different genes involved. The researchers examined the DNA of more than 6700 women, including those who suffer from lupus, their families, and those who do not have a relationship with no evidence of disease.
Women face a greater risk for the disease, and is often diagnosed during the years they have children, so the study results.

The scientists suggest the next step is to figure out what genes actually do it and whether something in the environment, such as viruses or pollutants, revive it off.
